Biography
Born in Melbourne but raised throughout much of Australia, Beau has been drawing since childhood days. Due to moving around the country in accordance with Defence employment of both parents, exposure of other cultures and meeting people from many walks of life have gathered much inspiration alongside personal experiences.

In recent years, Beau has taken interest in anatomy, portraiture and psychology. Learning and applying life drawing skills at the local Atelier has furthered Beau's understanding of human anatomy and portraiture with tried and true skills; from structured Loomis Methods to gestural quick sketches.

Eventually, oil painting had crossed Beau's path and became fascinated with the medium. Today, he enjoys the use of oil paints and charcoal to emphasise an artistic exploration and depth. With a deliberate departure of conventional beauty, the practice has become a catharsis to convey the sometimes uncomfortable truths of the human condition.

Observation of themes that echo psychological distress and the fragility of life, these distortions are not a proclaimation that life is inherently negative. Instead, Beau's focus simply offers an alternative to provoke thought, another lens that draws attention to the often overlooked, struggles and impact of life's harsher realities.

In his off time, Beau enjoys reading, playing relaxing video games, and spending valuable time with his wife and companion pet mini poodle.
